“Barbados” Captures the Exotic Mood of the Islands

Newark, NJ – Thibaut’s “Barbados” is a collection of elegant designs with a tropical flair. Lush foliage and vibrant flowers are found in many of the patterns. Colors are warm and vibrant and include orange terra cotta, sunny yellow, deep coral red, shell pink, light aqua blue, and verdant shades of green.

Designs include “Flora,” a lush, exotic branching pattern with large tiger lilies, flower tassles, and dense greenery. This design is complimented by “Island Leaves,” which features tossed cuttings of palm trees and budding island plants. “Peninsula” is an open design with clusters of stylized flowers painted in a batik-like manner. A large-scale arabesque design, “Turks and Caicos,” presents and elegant yet lighthearted display of decorative shells, seahorses, sea fans, and starfish. “Charlotte,” another large-scale pattern, is a branching display of orchids, magnolias, and orchid buds, with small frogs and lizards hidden in the tropical vines.

The collection also contains several novelty patterns. One is a two-color, simplistic, open design featuring ornate chairs, and another is a trellis design with vining topiaries in unusual-shaped containers. There is also a delicate, branching “Coral” design, and “Barbados,” an open pattern with petite palm trees, both of which are available as fabrics.
