Mimosa
Newark, NJ – Thibaut’s new “Waterlily” collection
is composed of simple shapes, organic motifs, and tone-on-tone graphic patterns.
Floral, trellis and arabesque designs show Asian influences and take on a
soft, watercolor look. A natural color palette of jade, aqua and sand enhance
the tranquil tone of the collection.
In “Kaleidoscope,” a
more modern design, color radiates from sun-shaped circular forms. The background
has a watercolor effect resembling handmade Asian rice paper. The design appears
in subtle shades of plum, aqua, sage, smoky grey, and wheat. “Mimosa” presents
festive, eye-catching flowers drawn in a stylized fashion with a stenciled hand.
The large-scale design has a clean, bold, and graphic appearance. Also with a
crisp modern look, “Saffron” features simplistic, organic, stylized
branches. The design incorporates a linen-like texture in the background.
A more traditional
look is captured in “Bayou” and “Baja.” “Bayou” is
a carefree, lighthearted design with dense foliage and fishing frogs. “Baja” is
an open design with loose arrangements of tropical banana leaves and palm
fronds in painted vases. Both are large-scale patterns with a soft watercolor
look. They appear on pale green, blue, peach and coffee grounds.
Bold and graphic
style is depicted in the large medallion design “Waterloo.” The
size of the pattern, precise alignment, and linen-textured background create
a striking look. A graphic color contrast is also presented in the two-color
design “Waterlily,” which
features a simplistic rendering of Asian flowers. The branching design has
a graceful, melodious feel, and is also set against a woven-textured background.
Other designs
in “Waterlily” include a scrolling leafy arabesque and large-scale
trellis pattern. The collection offers various linen-cotton blend and combed
cotton sateen fabrics for designs such as “Bayou,” ”Mimosa,” “Baja,” and “Saffron.” The
coordinating fabrics are ideal for draperies, pillows, and upholstery.
