Newark, NJ – Created to invigorate a sense of artistic expression, Thibaut’s new “Chelsea” collection features designs that enliven the home. Adapted from original artwork, patterns range from charming retro designs to chic modern interpretations of classic styles. The juxtaposition of bold and soft colors lends versatility to the collection while exciting the imagination. Printed and woven companion fabrics with swirling embroideries, cotton stripes, festive chenille dots and geometric patterns can be found in “Chelsea” Prints and Woven Fabric collections.

Coco,” a floral design based on original artwork, has colorful, stylized chrysanthemums and whimsical flowers. The design captures a joyous look with a fun, retro charm, and is featured in soft spring yellows, blues and pinks as well as subdued beiges and browns. “Metropolis Stripe” cotton fabric, showcasing similar colors, is a great complement for throw pillows. In contrast, “Java” wallpaper has a glamorous appeal with sparkly, frosted beads in a large curvy and tactile scroll design. The scroll pattern overlays metallic coffee, and iced teal grounds, as well as blue and pearl.

A chic trellis outlines a metallic monogram shape in “Cosmopolitan.” The bold, large-scale design has a modern flair and is featured in classy shades of beige, brown, and sage. “Pearl Trellis,” a coordinating ogee design woven fabric, provides a stylish contemporary look on upholstered chairs and furnishings. “Sassafras,” another trellis design wallpaper, has petite trees framed by a metallic lattice. The delicate pattern suits either a contemporary or traditional setting. “Ginger Stripe” fabric, a thin stripe with a rippled effect, gives a lighthearted look on bedding, draperies, and throw pillows, complemeting this design and many others in the collection.

With a crafty feel, “Papaya is a branching floral design with large, exotic flowers printed on fibrous, textural paper. “Joli Trail,” a simple silhouette trailing design with leaves and berry accents, is also printed on natural, earthy paper. This is a one-color pattern with soft, shimmering metallics incorporated into some of the fibrous papers. “Hawthorne Herringbone” woven fabric coordinates well with these and other designs.

Large, dramatic scrolls and geometric leaves create a hip, graphic look in “Mojito.” The pattern comes in a striking black and white colorway. The vivid scroll design also appears in off-white on sage, butter, denim and mineral blue, and in metallic beige on brown. “Starlight,” a contemporary interpretation of a batik document, has stylized leaves, spherical shapes, and a background scroll pattern that creates a layered look.

The collection also features a magnificent medallion design, “Herndon,” with a worn, woven textural appearance, and “Fulton Stripe,” with thin metallic lines overlaying a textural grassy background. Additional printed and woven companion fabrics in “Chelsea” Prints and Woven Collections include a basket weave geometric pattern called “Times Square;” “Doodledot,” a chenille multi-colored dot design; “Ribbon Embroidery,” an embroidered ribbon pattern; and “Roundabout,” a woven fabric with a geometric design of interlocking circles. The fabrics add interest without stealing the show.
