Henson
Newark, NJ – Inspired by the delicate glamour of ornamental wirework, elegant metallics are a strong theme throughout Thibaut’s new Filigree collection. Lustrous art and soft burnished effects are integrated into grand-scale patterns crafting a modern simplicity. The shimmering designs reflect beauty and style reminiscent of centuries-old artisan craftsmanship.
Henson is a dramatic arabesque with curvaceous scrollwork, that creates a bold and graphic feel. Soft, glimmering metallics are juxtaposed to areas of velvety flat color, creating a dimensional look. Pali, with its modern look, creates an understated backdrop with gold, silver and bronze metallic highlights peeping out from coarsely-woven cross-hatching.
Sydney Damask is a modern-styled grand-scale pattern printed on fibrous craft paper. A thick surface printing technique adds even more texture and interest to the design. Also printed on craft paper, Murano features lacey wirework medallions over a lush leafy background, while Greenbriar presents a rhythmic trailing leaf pattern. Metallics are incorporated into some of the color combinations for these designs. They appear in neutral tones as well as coral, sea glass, apple, and orange.
Providing a touch of glamour, Madrid is a gilded Jacobean pattern printed over a muslin texture background. The coppery-gold pattern Is displayed over rust, chestnut, and soft fern grounds. A soft, hand-painted look can be seen in Maison Damask with its burnished metallic overtones. This large-scale elegant design features translucent gold effects.
Reminiscent of an ironwork trellis, Greenwood is a modern vine and leaf design with curling branches that playfully climb the wall. One of the colorways, cream on metallic, has subtle plum overtones. Julian, a contemporary trellis design, is a fresh take on an Art Deco look. The trellis is outlined with pinstriping detail and comes in high-contrast combinations of such as blue on white and metallic on shimmery ice blue.
